As I have said for years, with buying supplements you get what you pay for. Buy cheap and you get shit results and sometimes no results at all! I like the people at ALLMAX and know them quite well. In fact, I used to work for the two owners back when I was doing my Nutrition degree at Ryerson University in Toronto. I like AMINOCORE (I am actually sipping a FRUIT PUNCH BLAST flavor as I write this) and think it is a good product.
Many bodybuilders and MMA fighters I have spoke with use AMINOCORE during training. It contains 8,180 mg of BCAAs, KIC for added anti-catabolism. It also contains an assortment of the B vitamins including vitamin B9 as Methyltetrahydrafolate. This substance is the most biologically active form of the B vitamin folic acid. It acts as a methyl-group donor involved in the conversion of the amino acid homocysteine to methionine. Methyl (CH3) group donation is vital to many bodily processes, including the production of serotonin and improving vascular endothelial function (i.e. The Pump). Because humans cannot synthesize this compound, it is needed in your diet or through your supplements.
Anyway, you can take AMINOCORE during your workout, but you might want to also take it (and other free-form amino acid supplements) right when you wake up! Let me explain. When you sleep at night, the protein you have eaten gets broken down into amino acids that are utilized by the body. Your last meal of the day should always include a protein source that is slow digesting like beef, egg albumin or milk protein. Doing this will “time release” the amino acids found in these protein sources and feed your muscles while you are asleep. Makes sense, right? However, as soon as you wake up (hopefully 8 hours later), your amino acid pool will have become depleted to an extent and your muscles will be hungry for more aminos! Those are some greedy bastards! To avoid slipping further into catabolism, you need to eat a “fast acting” protein source.
Wake up and take AMINOCORE. The amino acids are “free form,” meaning they’re already broken apart from each other and ready to be absorbed. Since you are mixing this stuff with water, it has already liquefied, which will allow it to absorb lightning fast. Of course, I would also consume 50 grams of whey protein (yes, fifty) about one hour later to ensure that in 3 hours, there are even more aminos on route to your amino acid pool. Try it out and let me know what you think. It's no surprise that ALLMAX NUTRITION is often on the cutting edge of supplementation, setting the standard for quality products and leading the way in innovation for the benefit of athletes everywhere. But recently, ALLMAX led the way in another very important area – charity. In a generous display of community spirit, the company gave away ALLMAX prize packages to encourage donations for the American Diabetes Association's Tour De Cure.
This cause caught the attention of ALLMAX after a member of BodyBuilding.com mentioned he was looking for donations to support his cause as he cycled in the Tour De Cure. This nationwide event has been held annually since 1991 and raises money to find a cure for diabetes.
In order to draw attention to the cause and reward those who donated, ALLMAX NUTRITION offered a number of prize packages consisting of 1 tub of Isoflex Mint or IsoNatural, a T-shirt, an Allmax cup, 100g of Leucine and 100g of Arginine. This philanthropic offering sparked immediate interest and the prize packages were gone within hours.
To ALLMAX, this was a great success. The company is dedicated to supporting athletes in all of their pursuits – from charity rides to bodybuilding competitions. But athletes aren't the only ones who need support. ALLMAX recognized this and was eager to encourage donations to support the Tour De Cure to battle diabetes.
