It was during her recovery period from this injury that Ashley became interested in competing and prepared herself for her first show in 2014. After this show she became hooked and 3 shows later ended up earning her IFBB pro card in Bikini in 2015.
Fast forward 2 years later, Ashley switched from the Bikini Division and now competes as a Figure Pro. She has had multiple Top 10 placements and is continuing to work towards building a physique that will be more competitive at the Pro level.
After completing her first show, Ashley knew she wanted to work in the health and fitness industry and combine her education in nutrition with her love of training. For the last 6 years she has been working as an in-person and online personal trainer and has never looked back. She is passionate about teaching others that health and fitness is all about making choices. She educates her clients and followers that each and every day they have the opportunity to wake up and choose to do the things that allow them to live their best life and feel the way they want to from the inside out.
For Nutrition, Ashley chooses to follow a flexible dieting approach that she believes is the most sustainable approach to eating long term. She isn’t a believer in fad diets or yo-yo dieting. She believes in educating her clients about what foods they are putting into their bodies and how to eat in a way that is realistic for the rest of their lives. Ashley believes that anyone and everyone has the ability to reach any goal they want. Weight training: specifically medium-high volume, moderate-heavy weights with a focus on muscle tension. I am a huge fan of negatives, FST-7 and drop sets. HIIT Cardio is my favorite form because I am all about working as hard as possible in the shortest amount of time to get the best results when it comes to cardio.
Burger and fries, cookies, frozen yogurt and lots of peanut butter.
Protein pancakes, oatmeal, sweet potatoes and ISOFLEX Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein.
Aminocore, Versa Gripps, weight belt, about 5 different flavors of gum, wireless headphones and Mary Kay lip balm.
I love cooking, doing crafts, playing with hair and makeup and spending time outside.
I have always been active in sports growing up. But it wasn’t until my junior year of college that I really got into fitness and competing. A basketball knee injury caused me to be limited to body weight lifts and minimal cardio. As soon as my doctor cleared me to start exercising I decided I wanted to compete in an NPC Bikini competition to get back into shape and help inspire others along my fitness journey. I fell in love with the sport and lifestyle after my first show and I cannot imagine my life any other way now.
I always listen to Spotify and my go to stations are: G-Eazy, Drake, Meek Mill, Hit The Gym Hard, Pumping Iron, and Workout. It depends on the mood I am in when I am lifting or doing cardio.
When people try to talk to me in between sets or when they don’t rack their weights.
