ALLWHEY Gold Chickpea Brownie
The chickpea knows no boundaries! It may sound weird for a brownie recipe but it’s surprisingly delicious!
The chickpea packs extra fibre into the beloved, traditional chocolate brownie. This recipe is also high in protein (from the eggs and ALLWHEY GOLD), plus best of all it’s gluten free.
Ingredients:
- 1 Tbsp Butter
- 1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder (Unsweetened if available)
- 2 Scoops ALLWHEY GOLD Chocolate Premium Protein Powder
- 1/2 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1 Can Chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 4 Eggs
- 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 Cup Stevia
- 1/4 Cup Honey
- 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 Tsp Salt
- 2 Cups chopped walnuts
Preparation:
- Mix 2 cups chopped walnuts and 1 scoop of ALLWHEY GOLD Chocolate powder in a small bowl and set aside
- Throw chickpeas, eggs and vanilla into a food processor and puree until smooth
- Add Stevia, honey, 1 scoop of ALLWHEY GOLD, baking powder and salt and give it a few quick pulses to combine
- Melt chocolate chips by microwaving in a glass bowl in 30 second intervals, stirring between sessions until completely melted
- Add melted chocolate to your chickpea mixture and blend thoroughly
- Pour your batter into a pan and cook for approximately 1 hour at 350°F
- Sprinkle chopped walnuts and protein powder mixture on top and lightly press to adhere. Let cool on a wire rack before removing from pan
- Cut into pieces
